Magnus Granerød becomes new senior adviser and partner at Salto Advisers

Salto Advisers strengthens the team with Magnus Granerød as a new senior advisor and partner. He comes from the role as Head of Investor Relations (IR) and Capital Markets at MPC Container Ships ASA and brings a solid background in finance and investor relations.

Granerød has extensive experience as an advisor and IR manager from a number of companies listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange. In addition to his role as head of investor relations and capital markets at the container shipping company MPC Container Ships, he has previous experience from Fredensborg, Heimstaden, Capient and Fondsfinans.

- Our clients will greatly benefit from Magnus' expertise in investor relations, most recently with experience from having built up this function in a number of larger, listed companies. We have come to know him as a highly analytical advisor with strong results, and we look forward to him getting started in full force, says Mats Samdahl Weltz, CEO of Salto Advisers.

Granerød has experience with investor relations for both equity and debt issuers. At MPC Container Ships, he has worked with the company's extensive shareholder base - today the shipping company is one of the companies with the most shareholders on the Oslo Stock Exchange. Granerød will start his first day of work on August 1.

- With a skilled and experienced team, Salto Advisers has already delivered impressive results. I look forward to working with a dedicated and ambitious team to develop clear and open communication for clients that builds trust and contributes to capital market success over time, says Magnus Granerød.

Private investors on the stock exchange create new needs
Almost 600,000 private individuals own shares on the Oslo Stock Exchange today, and the number of private individuals investing on the exchange has increased by 63 percent since 2018. The increase triggers some new needs for how listed companies should organize their IR work.

- For the capital market, being entered by the private individual is a great resource, and in the long term we hope it contributes to strengthening the Norwegian culture of saving and investing in the stock market. For the listed companies, they must build their capital market strategies so that they both reach private investors through the channels used, and ensure that the messages are understood, says Weltz.

In recent years, MPC Container Ships has gained an extensive shareholder base with tens of thousands of private investors. Granerød will draw on the experiences from this work.

"The best companies create comprehensive plans for capital market communication across all channels, with a unified and consistent message. In addition, it is important to be accessible. Companies must allocate resources and develop routines to effectively answer questions and share information," says Granerød.
